Locate the specific record you would like to close. Select the icon with the Down Arrow. This will move the record to the Previous Five Years section and will automatically generate a message to ORS requesting that the record is reviewed and closed.

Locate the specific grant on which you were a training mentor. Select the No Symbol (Prohibition Symbol). This record will no longer appear on your reports.
Locate the specific grant on which was not funded. Select the No Symbol (Prohibition Symbol). This record will no longer appear on your reports. This will generate a message to ORS requesting that the record is reviewed and the status is changed in PennERA.
Locate the specific grant you would like to move. Select the icon with the Up Arrow. This will move the record to the Current/Active section.
If the volume of data on a report is large it can take several minutes for it to generate. You can return to the application and click on the Notifications icon in the upper right corner of the screen to view your report or you can adjust your Profile settings so that you receive an email notification when the report is available.

If your permissions in the Other Support tool appear incorrect, check your PennERA access/security profile to verify what you have been granted access to. If PennERA doesn't include permissions that you expect, please email pennerahelp@lists.upenn.edu.
The Other Sources of Support section should include any funding not currently maintained in Penn systems such as in-kind contributions. Foreign-funded post-docs and outside activities can also be added here.
The Proxy feature should be used to grant someone authority to view and edit your records, and generate reports, on your behalf.
Two systems currently feed data into the Other Support Tool: PennERA and the Research Inventory System (RIS). Once the Conflict of Interest and Extramural Disclosure System is launched in 2022, it will also feed data into the Other Support Tool.
